Happy Yule!
Dec. 22nd, 2004 09:02 amWhew, one holiday down. We had a nice Yule bonfire, I replaced the holly on the house, and late that evening I got a call from my Ex-, who is apparently just fine, so now 1) I can quit worrying about her and 2) start worrying about what ELSE could be going on.
We also had a rather troubling incident at the house Mother Night. For the first time EVER someone (or something) desecrated our spirit offering, even breaking the very TOUGH little wine/cordial glass we'd been using for the libation. Interestingly, there was also damage to the nearby roof, AND the sprig of holly I had over the nearby door was gone when I went to replace it on Yule. Makes me wonder just WHO, or WHAT, came to visit us?
Other preparations proceed, if slowly. The Xmas cards finally went out YESTERDAY (only a week late), and we've got all our shopping taken care of. The tree is up, and the house decorated, so the major remaining task is wrapping, which I started on last night. I've also got to bake some more cookies, but that only takes a couple of hours, so no biggie. Time permitting, I'm going to TRY and get a project for Dora done by then. I started it months ago, but haven't had time to do more than walk past it in weeks.
From all of us here, we wish you and yours a very happy, restorative, and peaceful holidy, whatever flavor you favor. -:)
Rochndil, who looks forward to SLEEP soon...
